Investcorp Technology Partners Completes Carve-Out of Netop; Appoints Bernhard Hecker as CEO

Munich / Copenhagen – December 9, 2025

Investcorp Technology Partners (“ITP”) today announces the successful carve-out of Netop as a standalone company from Ativion (formerly Impero Software). Ativion acquired Netop in 2021 as part of its K-12 EdTech expansion. The carve-out returns Netop to a focused mission as a provider of ultra-secure remote access software for enterprises operating critical systems and assets worldwide.

As part of the transition, Tobi Hartmann, CEO of Ativion and Unifyr, has appointed Bernhard Hecker as Chief Executive Officer of Netop. Based in Munich, Germany, Hecker brings decades of experience scaling complex, proven technology platforms backed by venture and private-equity investors.
