Audientes A/S expands into hearing protection and defence – a natural next step for its platform

Copenhagen, Denmark - April 28, 2025 – Audientes A/S announces today that the company is taking the next step in expanding its platform by entering the hearing protection and safety market — a high-potential area where the company sees strong alignment with its existing product platform, partner network, and expertise in hearing technology.
As part of its ambition to drive sustainable long-term growth through focus and innovation, Audientes has identified the occupational hearing protection segment as a strategic and credible extension of its core business. Building on its experience with smart, self-fitting hearing devices and advanced audio software, Audientes aims to support better hearing protection, improved situational awareness, and safer communication in noisy work environments.
The European market for hearing protection equipment is currently estimated at approximately USD 1.2 billion, while the corresponding market in the United States is valued at around USD 2.6 billion — both markets demonstrating solid growth trends.

This opportunity is being pursued in collaboration with existing and new partners, including AudioSafe, a Nordic company specialized in occupational hearing safety solutions. Together, the companies are exploring adaptations of Audientes’ software and hardware platform for use in industrial and workplace safety applications.

Audientes is currently in discussions with several parties across Europe to assess market fit and develop partnership models for commercializing hearing protection solutions. These efforts complement its existing go-to-market activities in the medical grade hearing aids and consumer herables space.
In addition to industrial and occupational applications, the company has also begun to explore potential longer-term opportunities for its platform in the defence and tactical communication space. Military organizations are increasingly focused on integrated hearing protection and communication systems for use in high-noise, high-risk environments.

Audientes’ entry into the hearing protection and safety sector marks the first step in expanding its platform beyond the traditional hearing aid and hearables market. By extending its technology into adjacent high-potential segments, such as industrial hearing safety and, longer term, defence, Audientes aims to strengthen its revenue streams and support long-term shareholder value.
This initiative aligns with Audientes’ ambition to build a scalable, platform-based business, while maintaining a disciplined focus on regulatory progress and commercial execution. In parallel, the company continues its work toward ISO 13485 certification in 2025 and medical device approvals, beginning with NMPA registration in China.
