NYAB AB: Signing of the Uppsala Tramway project delayed

NYAB announced on 29 October 2024 that it, together with its partner Azvi, was selected as the general contractor for the construction of Uppsala Tramway. Uppsala Municipality also awarded an order for Phase 1 of the project that was intended to be started without delay after contract signing.

NYAB has been informed that another participant in the tender process has submitted the procurement to be reviewed by the administrative court in accordance with provisions of the Swedish Public Procurement Act. NYAB considers that the decision by Uppsala Municipality has been correct and does not expect the outcome of the procurement to be changed. However, because of the initiated review process, contract signing will be delayed.

NYAB will provide more information on the matter once a contract for the project is signed or if a decision changing the outcome of the procurement is made.
