Teleste and PunaMusta Modernize Digital Advertising in Helsinki Region’s Public Transport

Turku, FINLAND – September 25, 2025 – Teleste has signed an agreement with PunaMusta Oy, a subsidiary of Rebl Group, to supply thousands of digital displays for Helsinki Region Transport (HSL) vehicles in Finland. Beginning in 2025, Teleste’s display technologies will enhance the visibility of digital advertising content in more than 1,000 HSL buses, trains, trams, and metro cars. This deployment represents a major transport media channel, as approximately one million journeys are made on HSL services each day.
“We are delighted that Teleste displays were chosen for such a significant initiative. Digital displays are a powerful advertising platform with exceptional reach in public transport. At the same time, they ensure that passenger information is seamlessly available, supporting a modern and passenger-friendly public transport experience,” said Claudio Borrello, Head of Teleste’s Display Solutions business line.
Featuring Teleste’s advanced TFT technology, the displays deliver outstanding visibility for advertising content: accurate color reproduction, high brightness, and excellent readability in diverse lighting conditions. Build for long-term operation, they are also certified and engineered to perform reliably in most demanding environments.
“We are excited to carry out this large-scale project with Teleste. Their digital information displays are well-known for quality and reliability, with successful deployments worldwide for decades. For HSL passengers, these displays provide value not only through real-time travel information, but also through engaging and useful content. Together with HSL and Teleste, we can deliver a platform that makes using public transport smoother and more enjoyable. Our goal is to elevate digital advertising across HSL’s transport and offer brands even better opportunities for targeted, high-impact campaigns. That is why Teleste is the right partner for us,” says Sampsa Lilja, Business Director, Visual Solutions at Rebl Group.
Digital displays create a versatile communications platform that reaches large numbers of passengers every day. With dynamic content such as videos and animations, they capture attention, while centralized content management enables rapid, targeted messaging across entire fleet.
By leveraging these displays, public transport operators can expand commercial opportunities and at the same time improve the on-board travel experience, making public transport more attractive choice for passengers.
