Raisio plc’s new organisation and Leadership Team
Raisio plc, Stock Exchange Release, 26 May 2025 at 9:30 EEST
The food company Raisio plc will reform its organisation, operating model and Leadership Team to support the new strategy published in March. The new organisation will enter into force on 2 June 2025. The changes will also affect the Raisio Group’s financial reporting.
In the new organisation, the growth areas of the strategy will form their own business units: Breakfast, Snacking & Food Solutions, Heart Health and New Business Development. The business units have clear management and performance responsibilities and resources allocated to them according to the strategy.
“With the new organisation, we aim for holistic, accountable management and fast, consumer-oriented decision-making. The new structure enables effective implementation of the strategy and enhances cost-efficiency”, says CEO Pasi Flinkman.
Raisio’s Chief Business Officers leading the business units
The following persons have been named as leaders of the new business units:
Noora Pöyhönen has been appointed as Chief Business Officer Breakfast, Snacking & Food Solutions. She will be joining Raisio from Fazer, where she currently holds the position of VP, Head of Biscuits and Crisps. The estimated time for her to start is during the first quarter of 2026. Until she begins, the business unit will be managed with internal arrangements.
“I am excited to welcome Noora Pöyhönen to Raisio. She has strong experience and a proven track record in successfully developing business operations. In addition, her industry expertise and energetic leadership will be valuable assets in implementing the new strategy”, Pasi Flinkman says.
Mikko Lindqvist, former Chief Sales Officer of the Raisio Group, has been appointed as Chief Business Officer Heart Health.
CEO Pasi Flinkman will lead the business unit New Business Development alongside his regular duties.
Raisio Group Leadership Team from 2 June 2025 onwards:
The Group Leadership Team, with updated responsibilities, includes the following persons who report directly to the CEO:
Pasi Flinkman, Chief Executive Officer
Mika Saarinen, Chief Financial Officer
Noora Pöyhönen, Chief Business Officer Breakfast, Snacking & Food Solutions (estimated as of Q1/2026)
Mikko Lindqvist, Chief Business Officer Heart Health
Virpi Aaltonen, Chief Operations Officer
Reetta Andolin, Chief Innovation Officer
Annika Boström-Kumlin, Chief Brand and Sustainability Officer
Sari Koivulehto-Mäkitalo, Chief People and Legal Officer
The role of Chief Development Officer in the Group will be terminated, and the current Chief Development Officer, Olavi Erkinjuntti, will leave the Raisio Group.
“My warmest thanks to Olavi Erkinjuntti for his valuable work in the Raisio Group. During his ten-year career at Raisio, he has contributed substantially to growing our business and developing the company,” says Pasi Flinkman.
Change negotiations have been finalized
The reorganisation took the form of change negotiations. At the start of the change negotiations, it was estimated that 20 positions would need to be cut, but the actual number was lower than expected: new positions opened up in the new organisation, which have either been filled internally or will be recruited externally. The changes will lead to the elimination of 14 positions. Based on the change negotiations, nine of these positions will be eliminated through terminations of employment. The rest will be achieved through retirement.
Financial reporting
The strategy and organisational reform will also change the Raisio Group’s financial reporting.
In the future, Raisio’s reportable segments will be Brands & Industrial and Other Operations.
The Brands & Industrial segment is a reportable segment that combines the Breakfast, Snacking & Food Solutions and Heart Health business units. The Brands & Industrial segment will focus on Raisio’s existing consumer and B2B business, with Europe as its main market area and Benecol® and Elovena® as its main brands. Production plants will also be reported as part of the Brands & Industrial segment.
The Other Operations segment is a reportable segment that includes operations focused on new business development, shared functions serving the business units and Group administration.
Raisio will publish the first Half-Year Financial Report for 2025 in accordance with the new segment structure on 12 August 2025, together with quarterly and annual comparison data by segment for 2024.
