Lamor launches a project paving the way for the environmental remediation of contaminated areas in the Peruvian Amazon

In October, Lamor began the implementation of a contract for Profonanpe, Peru´s environmental fund, to rectify outstanding observations in earlier rehabilitation plans and to prepare the detailed engineering, to support the rehabilitation of hydrocarbon-impacted sites in the Tigre and Pastaza River basins, in the Loreto region of the Peruvian Amazon.

The initiative is part of Peru’s broader national effort to address a large number of contaminated sites caused by decades of oil industry activity. The project aims to improve prior rehabilitation plans by addressing pending comments and requirements, so that rehabilitation work can move forward.

The assignment will be conducted in collaboration with Lamor’s strategic partner; Engineers & Environmental Peru S.A. Lamor’s share of the contract exceeds EUR 2 million and was included in the company’s order backlog in the second quarter of 2025.
