Comments from CEO Anders Björkenbo
"I have now been CEO of SENS for just over two weeks – a fairly short time, you might think – but the business is not new to me. I have been at SENS for two years and before I took over as CEO, my role in the company was COO - operationally responsible. In my new role, I have the privilege of, in addition to leading the company's daily work, together with the Board of Directors and the company's other employees, developing strategies and concrete measures to increase, visualize and realize the great values that have been built up in SENS in recent years.
Successful project development has made SENS a Nordic leader
In recent years, SENS has transformed into a pure project developer in large-scale energy storage and energy production. Great value has been built up in the project portfolio, the market position and SENS' expertise in not least UPHS (Underground Pumped Hydro Storage - large-scale energy storage through pumped storage underground). Being an early-stage project developer means that we focus on developing the projects to ready-to-build (RtB) where the projects can be sold to an external party that builds and manages the project.
The way forward for SENS
As previously communicated, our primary focus is to strengthen the commercial side of activities. The company's highest priority continues to be to enable the sale of projects from the built-up portfolio – it is through realized deals that we create profitability and free up resources for continued growth.
We have several forces in place. Now it's about focus, execution power and trust. My goal is to strengthen the business so that SENS is well equipped – strategically anchored, financially disciplined and ready to deliver on its mission in the energy transition."
