Icelandic rescue station in Hvalfjörður orders an additional SafeRunner X system

Through Safe at Sea’s Icelandic distributor, Svansson EHF, an additional SafeRunner X system has been ordered by Björgunarfélag Akraness, a rescue station located near Reykjavik. The station is responsible for a wide range of rescue operations at sea, as well as in fjords, rivers, and lakes.

Björgunarfélag Akraness is a well-established rescue station in Hvalfjörður, just outside Reykjavik, Iceland. Their team is responsible for maritime rescue operations as well as missions in rivers, lakes, and fjords within their operational area.

To further strengthen its rescue capabilities, the station has now chosen to invest in a new SafeRunner X system.

“We hope that the new SafeRunner X system will become a valuable asset in their daily operations and contribute to effective lifesaving efforts in their challenging environments,” says Lukas Brehm, Vice President and Head of Sales at Safe at Sea AB.

Delivery is scheduled for Q3 2026.

The order value is approximately SEK 425,000.
