Icelandic sea rescue station in Hvalfjörður on Iceland selects the SafeRunner systemet

{newsItem.title}

Svansson EHF, our Icelandic distributor will be delivering two fully equipped SafeRunner systems to Björgunarfélag Akraness an extremely skilled and dedicated sea rescue station near Reykjavik on Iceland. A station responsible not only for sea rescue but for all types of rescue missions along the coast line, in the fjord, river and lakes. Now they will get access to a useful and fast rescue boat.

Björgunarfélag Akraness is a quite large rescue station in Hvalfjörður near Reykjavik on Iceland. Their team is responsible for sea rescue, river rescue as well as mountain rescue and they have both lakes, rivers and a fjord in their operational environment. They now choose to invest in two fully equipped SafeRunner systems to be able to work in pairs of two boats for safety reasons due to the tough and challenging weather conditions on Iceland. These are the first two SafeRunners that will be exported to Iceland and we are convinced they will do a fantastic job for Björgunafélag Akraness, says Linda Ahl, Vice President Sales & Business Development at Safe at Sea AB.

The boats will be delivered in August 2021.

Order value: 495 000 SEK
