Highlights:
Strategic partnerships enabling scalable expansion
SaltX has established strong and long-term partnerships with industrial leaders, including SMA Mineral, thyssenkrupp Polysius, ABB, and Holcim. These collaborations form a central part of the company’s asset-light business model, securing both technical expertise and delivery capacity for the upcoming scale-up. By combining SaltX’s technology with the partners’ global reach and industrial know-how, the company creates the foundation for rapid and efficient project execution.
Roadmap towards large-scale production and commercialization
SaltX has validated its patented electrification technology, the Electric Arc Calciner (EAC), through testing at its facilities in Bollmora and Hofors. The company is now moving into a phase where the technology will be demonstrated in large-scale production. The next step involves establishing pilot plants for commercial validation, following a clear roadmap across all application areas – lime, cement, and direct air capture (DAC).
The first large-scale pilot plant is being prepared within the lime segment, in collaboration with thyssenkrupp Polysius in Mo i Rana, Norway, where SMA Mineral is the client. Furthermore, so-called mega-factories are planned to be established in cooperation among the three companies. The exact rollout model will be applied in the cement segment, in partnership with Holcim, as well as in DAC applications.
Between 2025 and 2030, the company expects to deliver 10–15 modules, marking a crucial phase in SaltX’s commercialization journey. This is the phase in which significant value will be created, laying the foundation for future large-scale expansion and higher volumes. SaltX is actively working to secure the company's commercial and financial conditions for ongoing growth. The goal is to provide additional updates to the market within the next 6 to 8 months.
