Smoltek Nanotech Holding AB (publ) (“Smoltek” or “the Company”) announces that the Company continues to strengthen the commercialization of its nanotechnology platform for capacitors and electrodes. Smoltek has entered into additional non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) with potential industrial partners and established initial production capacity for the Company’s capacitor technology through new ALD equipment and collaboration with ITRI in Taiwan.
Smoltek has signed several new NDAs with potential industrial partners, enabling in-depth discussions with prioritized players in semiconductors and advanced electronics. Reliability testing and optimization of the company's first capacitor product, Gen-One, is ongoing. Market analysis shows that capacitor technology is particularly suitable for RF (Radio Frequency) applications and optoelectronics in the area of passive components in the short term. In the next step, power supply solutions for data centers and AI infrastructure are interesting applications for the technology.
Furthermore, Smoltek has established production capacity for the delivery of capacitor prototypes and low-volume series through the recently installed ALD equipment and the collaboration with the Taiwanese ITRI (Industrial Technology Research Institute).
In the hydrogen area, development work on Smoltek's PTE electrode for electrolyzers is continuing according to plan, and the company also sees great opportunities in fuel cells, where the technology can help increase efficiency and reduce costs. Smoltek's technology makes it possible to reduce the need for precious metals such as iridium and platinum and improve electrochemical efficiency, thereby increasing efficiency. The strategic collaboration with Germany's Heraeus is progressing with a joint focus on validation prior to commercialization.
To support the next phase of commercialization, Smoltek is implementing organizational changes and strengthening areas such as business development and commercial project management.
– We continue to take steps forward in the commercialization of our technology. The in-depth customer dialogues and our initial production capacity create good conditions for future customer evaluations and partner discussions, says Magnus Andersson, CEO of Smoltek.
